Join with friends and neighbors for a fascinating discussion led by the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance exploring the protection of wilderness quality public land as a way to combat the effects of the climate crisis. Since 1983, this nationwide nonprofit member organization has worked to protect America’s redrock wilderness until a congressional decision can be made for its permanent preservation. Learn how SUWA’s citizens, wilderness proposal came to be, and about the immense amount of stored carbon that Utah’s healthy desert ecosystems can sequester from our atmosphere.
